“We live in a knowledge-based economy, but without universal mutual understanding. Education is the catalyst for change and the key to unlocking freedoms and opportunity for all.”
We believe that greater understanding will be achieved through improved awareness and respect for each other’s cultures. Only through open, inclusive and constructive dialogue can we seek to break down the barriers between the Middle East and the wider world.
The MBI Al Jaber Foundation is committed to bringing together people from a diverse range of cultures and communities; and to this end we sponsor an extensive range of educational and cultural activities:
Recent grants have been awarded to the contemporary Saudi Arabian Edge of Arabia art exhibition; we are also the long-term supporters of the Seminar for Arabian Studies, at the British Museum; whilst our Connecting Cultures partners have helped forge a variety of enlightening youth exchanges.
Far more than simply a grant-giving organisation, we are also recognised as a respected hub of knowledge and expertise. We continue to work closely with partners such as the London Middle East Institute, the Council for Arab and British Understanding and Olive Tree, to promote cultural dialogue.
