New courses introduced at the MBI Al Jaber Media Institute, Yemen

The MBI Al Jaber Media Institute in Sana'a launched a new training programme entitled 'Professional Criteria of Media Coverage and the Rules of Press Editing'. The first course on this subject was taught by Institute Director and BBC Arabic journalist Abdullah Ghorab last week.

The training programme targeted 23 trainee Yemeni journalists from broadcasting, print and electronic media outlets, and both the official and independent media organizations. A number of media students at Yemeni universities also participated. The course was designed to provide the trainees with practical, hands-on training and to develop their professional skills in news coverage. At the end of the course the participants were awarded a certificate.

The MBI Al Jaber Media Institute provides free of charge training under official license by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Yemen.
