MBI Al Jaber Foundation Helps Further the Work of Liverpool Arabic Centre

The Arabic School based at the Liverpool Arabic Centre has just received its first educational grant from the MBI Al Jaber Foundation. The donation will help provide funding for a new member of teaching staff and enable the centre to provide weekly Arabic classes for children aged five years and up.

The school, now in its eighth year, allows children from the local community to develop new Arabic language skills, or to improve and build on their existing abilities. These classes are administered by highly qualified teaching professionals and deliver specialist training based on the individual needs of each child.

The Arabic centre was originally dedicated to improving the social and economic standing of Yemenis living in the city… but has since opened its doors to all Arabic speaking people in the area. In addition to offering educational classes, the Liverpool Arabic Centre also functions as a welcoming community centre, providing emotional support, a wide range of activities, and a variety of health and wellbeing information.

Not just dedicated to the Arabic community, it serves to strengthen togetherness with all people of Liverpool… as well as celebrating and promoting many aspects of Arabic history, language and cultural identity.
