Dr Noura Mansouri Is a Panellist at the 4th Gulf Intelligence International Petroleum Week
Dr Noura Mansouri, one of the MBI Al Jaber Foundation Alumni, was invited to take part in the 4th Gulf Intelligence International Petroleum Week, which took place in London from 25th to 27th February, 2020. In particular, she participated in the Middle East Energy Summit.
She chaired a session entitled the ‘Middle East climate policy panel: The Middle East and the Paris Climate Agreement: how to transform from followers to leaders?’, representing T20 Saudi Arabia, where she serves as co-chair of the Climate Change and Environment taskforce.
Created in 2012, T20 is an engagement group comprised of think tanks from around the globe whose primary goal is to add value to the G20 process by serving as its 'ideas bank'. It provides research-based policy recommendations to the G20, facilitating interactions between them and the think tank and research community, as well as communicating with the broader public about issues of global importance.
Noura declared, ‘Faced by the challenge of climate change, the question of sustainability becomes pertinent to Saudi Arabia. This means its balancing between the society, economy and the environment’.
Dr Noura Mansouri was awarded an MBI Al Jaber Foundation Scholarship in 2003 to study at Queen Mary, University of London where she earned an MBA in Technology Exploitation and Management and received a distinction for her dissertation. She then went on to attain a Diploma in Diplomacy and International Relations from Tufts University and a PhD from her alma mater Queen Mary.
The MBI Al Jaber Foundation is proud to have sponsored such promising future leaders.
