We were sorry to learn of the recent death of Stephen Day, CMG. In the 1990s, under the direction of our Patron and Chairman Sheikh Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber, Stephen Day assisted with the creation of the MBI Trust at SOAS, a ground-breaking scholarship programme for students from the Middle East, and of the MBI Al Jaber Chair in Middle East Studies at SOAS. He was a Trustee of the MBI Al Jaber Foundation until his retirement in December 2006.
